The Denman Island Bus had carried 264 passengers by July 31, during its fifth week of service, a report in The Islands Grapevine said.[1]

The report said the pilot operated three days a week and had received positive comments, while noting complaints and schedule problems. It said the schedule was on its third revision.[1]

Denman Works had agreed to pay for late Friday service connecting with Hornby ferries, which the report said fell outside the vendor contract. It also said the service was being used by Denman residents, not only visitors.[1]

The report said a transit survey had about 100 responses and that the Transportation Committee was beginning to consider a fall service with the Comox Valley Regional District. It said additional funding would be needed.[1]

As of July 31st, 264 souls have taken the bus, not bad for something new and operating only 3 days of the week.
