Denman Conservancy announced a December campaign encouraging residents to remove one Daphne plant, or one small patch, each day and send in photos and removal updates.[1]

The Grapevine notice said the conservancy planned an online talk with Coastal Invasive Species Committee’s Heidi Grant on December 8 at 6 p.m., covering Daphne and ways to control it.[1]

The notice advised using gloves when pulling small plants and said the bark, sap and berries can cause skin irritation.[1]
