The Denman Island Local Trust Committee did not give second reading to bylaws for the Denman Housing Association proposal at its November 2 special meeting, saying referral responses, community input and pending documents and analysis could inform changes.[1]

The minutes list outstanding items including approval for a water licence, confirmation of sewage disposal capacity for receiver parcels on Danes Road, a policy-statement checklist and staff review of the proposed water management plan.[1]

The applicant told the committee that a well-flow test indicated adequate water for the project and that half of its potable-water needs were planned to come from rainwater collection; the minutes record these as the applicant’s statements.[1]

The committee deferred the Islands 2050 bylaw referral until completion of a formal consultation process for Denman Island.[1]
