A Pepper Lane project update in the December 2 Grapevine said the Denman Community Land Trust Association had selected Island West Coast Developments of Nanaimo as preconstruction manager and potential contractor.[1]
The update said the association had raised $130,000 for the property purchase and more than $10,000 for fencing, and that installation of part of the fencing was underway.[1]
The association said it had held two community focus groups to gather input on housing design, including a session with seniors and another with local professionals.[1]
The Local Trust Committee’s September minutes record that it gave third reading to the housing agreement bylaw and forwarded it to the Islands Trust Executive Committee for approval.[2]
