The Denman Housing Association says its 20-unit affordable housing project, Denman Green, is in the design stage and plans to use treated rainwater for half of its potable water supply.[1]
The association says the project also plans to treat and reuse water from showers and basins for toilet flushing, and to install a solar array intended to meet most of its annual energy demand.[1]
The association says the project will include energy-saving features. It describes the site as steps from village stores, across the road from the school and a 10-minute walk from the ferry.[1]
A community information meeting is scheduled by Zoom for January 13, from 7 to 9 p.m.[1]
