The Denman Conservancy Association’s February newsletter reports that 28 acres of the Danes Creek Wetland Covenant Area were gifted to the association as an ecological gift.[1]

The newsletter says the land had been part of a conservation covenant established in 2010 and that the association placed capital from its acquisition fund in trust with the Vancouver Foundation for long-term stewardship.[1]

The newsletter describes the wetland as including ponds, marshes and drainage channels, and says beavers have been organizing water-flow patterns.[1]
