The Farm to Family meal program is seeking a new coordinator, according to an account by LeeAndra Jacobs in this week’s Grapevine.[1]
Jacobs wrote that Erika Bland said at a volunteer dinner that she would step down as coordinator this spring to devote her attention to motherhood and family. Jacobs wrote that she had stepped forward to take on the role.[1]
The account says the program began in January 2020 with nine recipients and had grown to thirty. It describes volunteers preparing soups and casseroles twice a month for delivery to clients.[1]
Jacobs wrote that the group received grants and donations, including a Denman Works! grant that enabled it to acquire an industrial-size food processor.[1]
