The Denman Local Trust Committee generally endorsed a draft Farming Regulation Community Questionnaire at a special meeting on February 15, subject to changes discussed by trustees.^[1]

The committee discussed concerns about the questionnaire’s length and complexity, and the need to explain the limits of Islands Trust jurisdiction. Trustees also discussed edits on horticulture, secondary dwellings, tourism accommodation and temporary use permits.^[1]

The committee approved up to $2,000 from the project budget for advertising and mailing the questionnaire to Denman residents and property owners.^[1]

Trustees directed staff to work with the consultant to schedule and advertise a community information meeting in the spring.^[1]
