The Denman Activity Centre is seeking donations, saying extended closures over the past two years cut fitness-centre membership income and prevented rentals of its lounge, gymnasium and commercial kitchen.[1]
The notice says the centre continued to face cleaning and sanitizing costs, fixed operating costs and the cost of providing free internet access. It invites donations by cash, cheque or refundable containers.[1]
Donations of $20 and above can receive a tax receipt upon request, the notice says.[1]
