Denman’s Local Trust Committee generally endorsed a draft Farming Regulation Community Questionnaire at its February 15 special meeting, subject to changes discussed by trustees. ^[1]

The committee approved releasing up to $2,000 from the project budget for advertising and mailing the questionnaire to Denman residents and property owners. It also directed staff to work with the consultant to schedule and advertise a community information meeting in the spring. ^[1]

The minutes say the questionnaire was lengthy and complex, but trustees considered explanatory material necessary to help respondents understand jurisdictional limits. The committee also discussed organizing project documents on the Islands Trust website. ^[1]
