The committee planning a covered recreation space beside the Community Hall has scheduled a public open house for May 28.

An open house to show plans for a covered recreation space beside Denman’s Community Hall is scheduled for Saturday, May 28, from noon to 2 p.m., on the field next to the hall, according to an announcement in this week’s Grapevine.^[1]

The announcement says the proposed structure is planned for an expanded and resurfaced version of the existing concrete pad. It is designed for sports including basketball, pickleball and soccer, as well as markets, private functions, live music and other community events.^[1]

The Covered Recreation Space Committee, under DICES, says it has been planning, consulting and fundraising for the project over the past two years. The committee invites residents to attend the open house and take part in public consultation.^[1]
