A plant-sale fundraiser for the Denman school garden is scheduled for Saturday, April 23, at the recycling centre, with proceeds supporting educational activities and food for the school lunch program.[1]
The school’s Parent Advisory Committee also plans to sell raffle tickets for a Mother’s Day gift basket. The school is seeking volunteers for its Thursday lunch program and garden committee.[1]
The recycling centre is also scheduled to begin accepting uncontaminated used motor oil and empty oil and antifreeze containers on Saturday. Oil must be brought in a clean, sealed container, and the notice says used motor oil will be accepted only during the centre’s open hours.[1]
