A special meeting on Denman on April 21 presented preliminary results from the Farming Regulations Review questionnaire, with submissions still being received, according to the meeting minutes.[1]

Consultant Ione Smith said the project reviews farm-worker housing and agri-tourism accommodation, updates to the Land Use Bylaw and amendments to the Official Community Plan. The minutes say the work included reviewing data, maps, reports and policy, as well as interviews.[1]

Questions covered intensive agriculture, housing in the Agricultural Land Reserve, agri-tourism accommodation and setbacks near waterbodies. The minutes record discussion of enforcement, wetlands and water protection, among other topics.[1]

The minutes say the questionnaire results were to be analyzed and presented to the Local Trust Committee and Advisory Planning Commission to inform next steps.[1]
