The Graham Lake Swim Dock Committee is seeking donations for repairs to the dock, saying it needs “some serious renovations.” The committee’s notice in the May 5 Grapevine says its preferred option is to raise $15,000 to $20,000 for a complete overhaul.[1]
The committee said it planned to assess donations by May 15. If there was enough money for the major work, it said it would proceed; otherwise, it planned to make repairs to keep the dock afloat for another year and continue collecting money for a major overhaul in 2023.[1]
The notice said donations could be made by cheque to DIRA and sent to its Denman Road mailing address, or delivered to the general store.[1]
