About 250 people attended a newcomer gathering at the Denman Activity Centre last Saturday, including about 100 identified as newcomers with red name tags, an account in this week’s Grapevine reports.[1]

The event had been in the works for two years and was postponed twice because of COVID, the account says. It describes residents gathering for drinks and conversation in the Lounge and recreation hall.[1]

The account says the event included information from Denman non-profits and community organizations, and credits a team led by Jenny Villard with organizing it.[1]
