A special Denman Island Local Trust Committee meeting on April 21 presented preliminary results from a questionnaire on farming regulations and gave the public an opportunity to ask questions.[1]
The meeting minutes say submissions were still being received and that the engagement results were to be analyzed and presented to the committee and the Advisory Planning Commission to inform next steps.[1]
The review covers farm-worker housing, agri-tourism accommodation, zoning updates and changes to the Official Community Plan. The minutes list questionnaire topics including housing in the Agricultural Land Reserve, agri-tourism and setbacks from waterbodies.[1]
