The Denman Island Community Education Society is seeking applicants for a permanent executive director position, with applications due July 14. The job is listed as 30 hours a week, with four weeks of paid vacation and pay of $23 to $27 an hour, depending on experience.^[1]

The society is organizing a bottle drive on June 30 at the Recycling Centre from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to raise funds for its Parent and Tot program, which brings children and caregivers together on Friday mornings during the school year.^[1]

The society also thanked volunteers who helped run its after-school programs in the spring and invited people interested in fall programs to get in touch.^[1]
