The Denman Island Local Trust Committee asked staff to prepare revised draft bylaws for consideration at a later meeting, following a July 27 discussion of the Farm Regulations Review Project.[1]
The requested revisions include limiting agri-tourism accommodation to no more than four tents or RV sites and one cabin per property, with sufficient setbacks.[1]
The committee also requested regulations allowing seasonal egg sales on R1 and R2 lots over 1ha outside the Agricultural Land Reserve, while prohibiting roosters on those lots.[1]
The meeting included a question-and-answer session on the review. Staff said they could bring options and analysis to a September meeting on changing the Siting and Use Permit procedure for agri-tourism accommodation.[1]
