Denman Island trustees asked staff to prepare revised draft bylaws for consideration at a later meeting after discussing the Farm Regulations Review Project on July 27, according to the meeting minutes.[1]
The requested revisions included limiting agri-tourism accommodation to no more than four tents or RV sites and no more than one cabin per property, with setbacks for those uses.[1]
The minutes also record a request for regulations allowing seasonal egg sales on R1 and R2 lots over 1ha outside the Agricultural Land Reserve, while prohibiting roosters on those lots.[1] The meeting included a question-and-answer session with the consultant and planners about the proposed changes.[1]
