Denman Island Local Trust Committee members discussed draft farming regulations at a special meeting on October 6, with the minutes recording questions about fencing rules and setbacks. [1]
The minutes say trustees found parts of the draft fencing regulations unclear and wanted more information before making a decision. The meeting recessed and was scheduled to reconvene on October 14 for staff to bring back information on setbacks from watercourses. [1]
At the October 14 continuation, trustees amended proposed Bylaw No. 229 to set a 30-metre setback for buildings and structures associated with agriculture, except fences. [1]
