Denman Island Fire Rescue invited residents to an open house at the firehall on Saturday, October 15, to discuss volunteering as firefighters, first responders or auxiliary crew members.[1]
The notice said the department was seeking volunteers to help continue providing services to the community. It listed training, mentoring and equipment among what it offers volunteers.[1]
The open house was scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 5555 Denman Road. The notice also invited people to contact Fire Chief Rob Manering by email before November 1.[1]
