Denman Island Local Trust Committee members amended draft farming-bylaw wording on setbacks from watercourses at special meetings on October 6 and 14. [1]
The adopted minutes say trustees replaced the text in sections 1.7 and 1.8 of proposed Bylaw No. 229 with a 30-metre setback for buildings and structures associated with agriculture, except for a fence. [1]
The minutes also record discussion of watercourse protection and the provincial Agricultural Environmental Management Code of Practice. A proposed information note about fence setbacks did not proceed because it received no seconder. [1]
