Denman Island Local Trust Committee trustees amended draft farming regulations to set a 30-metre setback for agricultural buildings and structures, except fences, according to adopted minutes of special meetings held Oct. 6 and Oct. 14.[1]

The minutes say staff had been asked to bring back information on setbacks from watercourses. They record that the committee amended sections 1.7 and 1.8 of proposed Bylaw No. 229 to specify the setback.[1]

The minutes also record that a proposed information note about provincial setback rules for fences did not proceed because it received no seconder.[1]
