Denman Island Local Trust Committee members amended draft Bylaw No. 229 to specify a 30-metre setback for agricultural buildings and structures, except fences, in sections 1.7 and 1.8.[1]
The October meeting minutes say staff had been asked to bring back information on watercourse setbacks. The planner reported that a comprehensive review of setback requirements and Development Permit Areas was outside the scope of the farming-regulations project.[1]
The minutes also record that a proposed information note about provincial fence setbacks did not proceed because it received no seconder. The committee then carried the amendment replacing the wording in sections 1.7 and 1.8.[1]
