The Denman Local Trust Committee amended proposed farming regulations at a special meeting on Oct. 14, following a discussion of setbacks from watercourses and fencing.[1]
The committee replaced the proposed setback wording in sections 1.7 and 1.8 with a 30-metre setback for agricultural buildings and structures, except fences.[1]
The minutes say staff had recommended excluding fencing from the setback requirement to support a full range of acceptable agricultural uses.[1]
The committee also discussed a possible information note about provincial rules for fence setbacks, but the motion to add one did not receive a seconder.[1]
