DICES has launched a GoFundMe campaign for a Covered Recreation Space, with the group saying it has secured more than $275,000 and remains $65,000 short of its target.[1]
The campaign says DICES and DIRCS are working on a timber-framed structure over the cement pad next to the Back Hall, intended for community recreation and events.[1]
The campaign lists possible uses including sports, concerts, feasts, after-school programs and a dry, shaded place for families to play.[1]
It says some major federal funding has a deadline and asks the community to help close the shortfall so construction can begin soon.[1]
