Denman Island trustees deferred further discussion of the Denman Green housing application to their February 7 meeting, according to minutes of a January 17 special meeting.[1]
The minutes say the province had issued a groundwater licence for the project, which staff did not consider new information under post-public-hearing rules because the committee had required proof of the licence before considering final adoption of the bylaws.[1]
Staff reported that a referral response from K’ómoks First Nation arrived late in 2022 and that the newly elected Chief and Council were reconsidering it and expected to provide an update.[1]
The minutes say staff would analyse the response when received and provide the committee with options at its February meeting.[1]
