The Denman Island Local Trust Committee appointed seven members to the Denman Island Housing Advisory Planning Commission at a special meeting on April 25, with terms ending April 25, 2025.^[1]

The committee discussed a possible Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation grant application. Minutes say members did not support an expedited application process, citing the need for adequate community and commission consultation and careful consideration at a pace that works for the community.^[1]

The minutes say the committee was beginning a Housing Review Project to examine bylaws and housing options. The commission was expected to consider a referral on the review, and staff were expected to bring a report on that referral to the next committee meeting.^[1]

The committee also asked staff to provide the commission with the Official Community Plan, Land Use Bylaw and Housing Review, and requested hard copies of the Official Community Plan and Land Use Bylaws for local trustees.^[1]
