The Denman Island Local Trust Committee appointed seven people to the Denman Island Housing Advisory Planning Commission, the adopted minutes of its June 6 meeting say.^[1]

The committee also considered a preliminary report on its Housing Review Project. Public comments recorded in the minutes called housing critically needed and raised concerns about delays and the direction of the review.^[1]

At a special meeting on April 25, the committee did not support an expedited application for grant funding, citing the need for adequate community and commission consultation and careful consideration at a pace that works for the community.^[2] The April minutes say the review would examine bylaws and housing options, and that completing it would position the committee and community to participate in future grant opportunities.^[2]

The June minutes record that the committee had appointed the commission members and that staff would follow up to ensure they received documents listed in the April activity.^[1]
