The Denman Island Medical Clinic says Dr. Jody Taylor is its full-time physician, working Monday through Wednesday and providing dermatology services on Thursday mornings.[1]
The clinic says it is part of a primary care network, with access to a social worker, pharmacist, registered nurse, dietician and counselling services.[1]
The clinic says it will primarily serve Denman residents who have no other family physician in British Columbia. Residents who keep a family physician elsewhere can be seen for urgent medical needs, and the clinic reserves three to five appointments a day for those visits.[1]
The update also directs people with medical emergencies such as chest pain or extreme difficulty breathing to call 911.[1]
