The Denman Island Local Trust Committee approved second readings, as amended, of proposed changes to its Official Community Plan and Land Use Bylaw at a June 6 meeting, according to adopted minutes. [1]

The amendments include adding a condition to the agri-tourism definition and deleting a two-year limit from a provision on permitted buildings and structures. [1]

The committee also directed staff to notify property owners affected by changes to the OCP land-use designations and added a project to its future-projects list to align OCP designations with land-use zoning. [1]

The minutes say staff reported that adding a zoning-map change to the amendments under consideration could extend the project timeline by a few months. [1]
