The three-screen film GO FISH came to Denman’s United Church on Sunday, where people watched in groups of twenty-nine during four hours of showings, according to a report in The Islands Grapevine.[1]

The report estimated that nearly 700 people attended between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. and said United Church and Gathering Place volunteers helped organize the event.[1]

The film, produced and directed by Nettie Wild and Scott Smith, explores the Hornby-Denman herring run. An Ocean-day “Mer” display of paintings and ceramics was arranged outside the church.[1]
