More than 800 people attended screenings of GO FISH on Denman from August 3 to 6, according to a thank-you notice in this week’s Islands Grapevine. The notice said the film footage was taken in waters around Hornby and Denman.[1]
The screenings were held at the Denman Island United Church, and an ocean-themed art installation was set up at the Gathering Place, the notice said. Volunteers helped with traffic and parking.[1]
The notice said the screenings prompted conversations about herring, fishing and people’s experiences, and thanked the United Church and local volunteers.[1]
