Denman Island Local Trust Committee minutes record that trustees asked staff to prepare a letter to the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, BC Ferries’ chief executive officer, the regional district director and the MLA, urging examination of a ferry to Hornby Island from Vancouver Island rather than across Denman.^[1]

The minutes also record a request to schedule a joint meeting of the Denman and Hornby local trust committees about ferry transport.^[1]
