The Denman Seniors and Museum Society is asking the community for tax-deductible donations after a serious leak in the roof over the Activity Centre fitness centre and gymnasium led to an emergency replacement. [1]
In its year-end message, the society said the leak came about a month after the end of its fiscal year on August 31, and that replacing the gym roof depleted reserves intended for future projects, including the lounge roof and washroom renovations. [1]
The society said it needs to rebuild its capital reserves and maintain the building, which houses a fitness centre, lounge and gymnasium and hosts recreation and community events. [1]
Donations can be sent by cheque, left in the office door’s mail slot, made by e-transfer or given through CanadaHelps, the message said. [1]
