Denman housing report heads for public discussion in 2024

The Local Trust Committee received the housing commission’s final report and asked staff to prepare an analysis and schedule a special meeting.

Denman’s Local Trust Committee received the Housing Advisory Planning Commission’s final report and a guide to it at its November 14 meeting. ^[1]

The committee asked staff to print twelve or more copies of the report and guide for community distribution and to post them, along with related correspondence, on the Denman Island Projects webpage. ^[1]

Trustees also asked staff to analyze the commission’s recommendations and schedule a special meeting by Zoom at the beginning of 2024 to discuss options and next steps. ^[1]

The minutes say a community information meeting could introduce the report with visual aids; staff’s analysis and public engagement were to be considered at a special meeting before such a community meeting. ^[1]
