Comox Valley Regional District Director Daniel Arbour told the Denman Island Local Trust Committee on February 13 that Cross Island Trail work was proceeding and an extension into the downtown area was anticipated in the coming year.[1]
A community member also asked about continuing the trail up the steep section from the ferry terminal. The minutes say Arbour reported that the section’s scope and cost had been researched and were beyond the ability of the regional district or residents to implement; he said provincial funding in a capital projects budget was hoped for.[1]
