A community information meeting on Feb. 13 reviewed proposed Denman bylaws concerning farming regulations, according to adopted Local Trust Committee minutes.[1]

The minutes say the proposed changes included redesignating lands in the Agricultural Land Reserve to a new Agriculture designation, regulating dwellings and agri-tourism use and accommodation in the reserve, updating agricultural definitions, and changing setbacks for associated agricultural buildings.[1]

The meeting was held to explain the proposed changes and provide information for community members ahead of a public hearing, the minutes say. They describe the measures as proposed, not adopted.[1]
