Denman trustees adopt two bylaws and endorse housing review plans

The Local Trust Committee adopted amendments to the island’s official community plan and land-use bylaw at a May 7 special meeting, and endorsed next steps for its housing review.[^1]

Denman’s Local Trust Committee adopted two bylaws at a special meeting on May 7, after staff reported they had completed public hearing, third reading and required approvals.^[1]

The adopted measures are Bylaw No. 228, amending the Official Community Plan, and Bylaw No. 229, amending the Land Use Bylaw.^[1]

Trustees also endorsed a project charter for reviewing temporary use permits related to housing, an amended Housing Action Plan and a revised charter for the next phase of the Denman Island Housing Review Project.^[1]

The minutes say the housing review will include a community information meeting followed by a public hearing on the same day.^[1]
