Denman’s Local Trust Committee adopted amendments to its Official Community Plan and Land Use Bylaw at a special meeting on May 7, according to the meeting minutes.[1]

The committee also endorsed a project charter for a review of housing-related temporary use permits and an amended Denman Island Housing Action Plan.[1]

For the next phase of the housing review, trustees endorsed a revised project charter based on the process recommended in a staff report.[1]

The minutes say staff proposed a process that included consideration of fair and respectful engagement with K’ómoks First Nation, and that a community information meeting and public hearing on the same day were planned for the temporary-use-permit review.[1]
