The Denman Island Local Trust Committee endorsed a revised project charter for Phase 2 of Stage 2 of the Denman Island Housing Review Project at its May 7 special meeting.[1]
The minutes say staff had proposed a process that included fair and respectful engagement with the K’ómoks First Nation, with more detailed engagement in some areas and limited analysis in others.[1]
Trustees said they wanted to maintain the siting and use permitting tool and to examine tiny homes on wheels in more detail. They also said they were not interested in applying densities to parkland.[1]
The committee also endorsed a charter for a Housing Related Temporary Use Permit Review Project as a minor project and endorsed an amended Denman Island Housing Action Plan.[1]
