Denman’s Local Trust Committee gave first readings to two draft bylaws addressing temporary-use permits for secondary dwellings on properties in specified zones. [1]
The August 13 minutes say the proposal covers lands zoned R2, A, F and RE, and would also remove the density bank. The minutes report that 37 properties are in the specified zones. [1]
The planner said reports and community input recommended removing the permit requirement. Trustees noted that removing it, along with the density bank, allows for the creation of more housing. [1]
The committee’s first readings were recorded as carried; the minutes do not record final adoption. [1]
