The 2024 Denman Island Apple and Nut Fest is scheduled for Oct. 12 at the Farmers Market, where the Denman Island Growers and Producers Alliance plans to offer free seed cleaning for Denman and Hornby residents.^[1]

The alliance said the event will be smaller this year and organized differently. Vendors are expected to have juice, apple pies and other treats, while the alliance plans a display of locally grown fruit trees and community equipment.^[1]

The seed-cleaning service is sponsored by the alliance and Farm Folk City Folk, and is open to growers on both islands.^[1]
