Denman’s Local Trust Committee gave first reading to a bylaw amendment for Triple Rock Land Co-op at its October 8 meeting.[1]
The application seeks to increase the number of units and allow secondary suites in all units, the minutes say.[1] The committee amended the draft to replace 15 with 19 in the density table, then gave the bylaw first reading.[1]
The committee also referred the proposed bylaw to First Nations, local governments and agencies for comment, including Island Health and the Comox Valley Regional District.[1]
The minutes say a property owner must submit a septic filing from a Registered Onsite Wastewater Practitioner or Professional Engineer before construction of a suite; Island Health oversees approval of onsite sewage systems on Denman.[1]
