The Denman Local Trust Committee gave first reading to a proposed bylaw amendment for Triple Rock Land Co-op at its Oct. 8 meeting.[1]

The application seeks to increase the permitted number of units and allow secondary suites in all units, the minutes say.[1] The committee amended the draft to replace the number 15 with 19 in a density table, then gave the bylaw first reading.[1]

The committee also referred the proposal to First Nations, local governments and agencies for comment, including the Comox Valley Regional District, School District 71 and Island Health.[1] The minutes say a property owner must submit a septic filing from a qualified professional before construction of a suite.[1]
