The Denman Island Local Trust Committee gave first reading to a proposed bylaw that would increase the permitted number of units at Triple Rock Land Co-op and allow secondary suites in all units.[1]

The October 8 minutes say the committee amended the draft to replace the number 15 with 19 in the density table, then gave the bylaw first reading and referred it to First Nations, local governments and agencies for comment.[1]

The minutes say a property owner must submit a septic filing from a Registered Onsite Wastewater Practitioner or Professional Engineer before construction of a suite. They also identify Island Health as responsible for approval and oversight of onsite sewage disposal systems on Denman Island.[1]

The minutes record first reading and referrals; they do not record final adoption of the proposed bylaw.[1]
