A Denman player says she has been selected for Thunder Rugby’s rugby and cultural tour of New Zealand in August 2025. The tour is set to visit Auckland, Bay of Islands, Hawks Bay and Wellington.^[1]

The player wrote that the group is taking 20 girls and 20 boys, and that she feels privileged to have been selected.^[1]

She wrote that she has worked and collected returnables toward the trip costs, and is selling 50/50 tickets and silver pendants while seeking donations and sponsors.^[1]

The online 50/50 draw is scheduled for December 1, the notice says. It lists tickets at $20 each and an approximate payout of $5000.^[1]
