The Denman Island Local Trust Committee asked staff to prepare draft amendments to the island’s Official Community Plan and Land Use Bylaw to enable a Denman Conservancy Association rezoning application.[1]
The application seeks to rezone four parcels from forestry to conservation, according to the staff report summarized at the committee’s December 10 meeting.[1] The minutes say one parcel is split-zoned between forestry and agriculture and is in the Agricultural Land Reserve.[1]
The committee also asked staff to send an early referral of the application to the Islands Trust Conservancy and Agricultural Land Commission for comment.[1]
