The Denman Island Local Trust Committee gave first and second readings to proposed bylaws connected to the Triple Rock Land Cooperative’s application for four additional dwelling units, which would bring the total to 19, according to the May 20 meeting minutes.[1]
The proposed changes include an Official Community Plan amendment to remove four densities from the density bank and an updated housing agreement intended to regulate affordability and occupancy for the homes and secondary suites.[1]
The committee also asked staff to schedule a community information meeting before a public hearing, refer one proposed bylaw to First Nations, local governments and agencies, and remove schedules A and B from the draft housing agreement.[1]
