The Denman Island Local Trust Committee gave first and second readings to proposed bylaws connected to a Triple Rock Land Cooperative rezoning application at its May 20 meeting. The application seeks four additional dwelling units, bringing the total to 19, with associated secondary suites and an updated housing agreement intended to encourage long-term affordability.[1]
The committee also asked staff to schedule a community information meeting before a public hearing and to refer an Official Community Plan amendment to First Nations, local governments and agencies for comment.[1]
The proposed Official Community Plan amendment would remove four densities from the density bank. The committee asked staff to remove schedules A and B from the draft housing agreement.[1]
